Atomic Coffee Roasters’ new Mills Lane space, by Young Do, is a masterclass in material balance and restraint. Every element has been carefully considered, from the refined timber detailing to the moody palette, but it’s the stained cork that truly takes centre stage.
Used across the main counter and integrated seating, our Quantum Cork brings an unexpected warmth and tactility to the space. Its subtle texture and organic depth soften the sharp architectural lines, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels both crafted and contemporary.
Beyond its visual appeal, cork offers a sustainable alternative to traditional stone or laminate surfaces, durable, renewable and comfortable to the touch. In this project, it grounds the interior while reinforcing Atomic’s brand ethos: environmental responsibility, honest materials and a focus on craft.
The result is a calm, design-led environment that celebrates both innovation and authenticity, a perfect match for Atomic’s new chapter in the heart of Auckland.
