2024 NKBA EiD Outstanding Renovation Bathroom and the Bathroom Distinction Award - up to $50k.
For the stunning transformation of the SR Residence, a three-story property along Sumner's Esplanade, Quantum provided a high-performance flooring solution that enhanced both functionality and design. The clients, having conducted extensive research, were eager to incorporate cork flooring throughout, recognising its timber-like appeal, durability and acoustic benefits - ideal for a multi-level home with bathrooms.
Working closely with designer Michelle Lamb, Quantum recommended Wise Wood Contempo Copper cork flooring, a selection that balanced rich copper tones with the overall aesthetic, blending beautifully with the other finishes. The flooring’s sound-dampening quality was especially valuable for a three-level layout, delivering a quieter, more tranquil home environment. Michelle, who had not previously worked with cork, trusted Quantum’s expertise and guidance on achieving a flawless finish in each area.
The project has since garnered recognition, receiving the 2024 NLBA EID Outstanding Renovation Bathroom and The Bathroom Distinction Award (up to $50k), cementing its success in both design and innovation. This collaboration highlights Quantum’s commitment to high-quality, sustainable solutions for impactful, award-winning design.
